About the STS consortium

Content on this website is generated by the editorial group and other topic experts. We invite interested experts to submit content to feature on our “articles” and “tools” pages. Our process for evaluating submissions will be shared soon. Content will be made available in English and Spanish.

This is an independent, non-partisan academic resource. We receive no funding from the International Olympic Committee or any sports governing body. Our aim is to translate complex scientific, legal, and ethical evidence into accessible analysis for practitioners, policymakers, athletes, journalists, and the wider public.

Mission Statement

  • To provide rigorous, accessible, and multidisciplinary expert-led analysis of sex and sex testing in sport;

  • To disseminate evidence-based information for various stakeholders, from journalists to sport administrators;

  • To support more informed and transparent policymaking.
